OS-SCO Administration

General New User Considerations

Default User Directory Content

/etc/useradd

scoadmin utilizes /etc/useradd when creating new users.

/etc/useradd populates a new home directory with shell environment files found in /usr/lib/mkuser, so one may customize default user directory content by modifying that directory.

During user creation, a mailbox file is created and a mail greeting is sent to the user.
